“Dinabandhu Foundation for Educational Research and Socio-Economic Development” established in the year 1999 registered under Indian Trust Act 1880. The main aim of the trust is to focus on three main requirements of the society: Education, Health and Environment.
SKILL’EM is the Skill Development wing of the trust is a SPV meant to roll out different Skill Development initiative, is partner with National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) for carrying up skilling of Indian youths in Eastern and North Eastern India. We deliberately choose these under developed areas because of the large Scheduled Tribe population.
At SKILL’EM, we transform communities through interventions in placement linked skill development training, livelihood support, entrepreneurship and self-employment in Partnership with National Skill Development Corporation.
Who We Are
Since 1997, Dinabandhu Foundation for Educational Research and Socio Economic Development (Dinabandhu Foundation), the parent organization have been an active part of the movement that changed the landscape of skilling domain in India. We have pioneered several innovative Education Models. Based out in Bhubaneswar the capital city of Odisha Dinabandhu Foundation engaged in offering Bachelor and Masters degree in the field of Engineering, Biotechnology, Management and Computer Application. It is associated with AICTE, New Delhi, Deptt of Science and Technology, Govt of India, Deptt of MSME, GOI,.
Every year nearly 40000 students take admission in different Technical courses in Odisha. In a study it is found that nearly 60% of the total students lacks the capacity to communicate properly. The lack of communication both verbal & written affects their employability.
1200 students get admission in the sister concern Trident Group of Institutions, Bhubaneswar in different courses Every Year. The idea of making them employable in the job Market has conceptualized SKILL’EM, a dedicated Training Institution under the same Trust Dinabandhu Foundation in 2007 to impart Pre- Placement and Soft skill Training to Technical Graduate to make them employable. Since inception it has been promoted by young high achieving and well-qualified professionals from various streams with the sole aim of transforming the education process in India through a variety of innovative and scientifically proven methodologies. Our team includes alumni from reputed institutes like IIT, IIM, XLRI, IBS & other esteemed management and technical institutes.
At present, SKILL’EM has Three operating divisions, viz., Corporate Training and Institutional Training & Skill Development and Vocational Training in partnership with National Skill Development Corporation, Govt of India.
The Special Purpose Vehicle in the name of SKILL’EM partnered with NSDC (National Skill Development Corporation) on 7th Sept 2015 in 7 sectors vide Regn no: NSDC/TP/15-16/198 for Odisha, Jharkhand and North Eastern States. We deliberately choose the geographical area due to the maximum population of Scheduled Tribe and Scheduled Caste & Economically Weaker Sections.

What Is NSDC
NSDC is a first-of-its-kind Public-Private Partnership (PPP) in India that facilitates skill development. The NSDC was set up as part of a national skill development mission to fulfill the growing need in India for skilled manpower across sectors and narrow the existing gap between the demand and supply of skills. NSDC was formed to achieve the target of skilling / up-skilling 150 million people by 2022 by fostering private sector initiatives in the skill development space.
NSDC is under the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship. It aims to promote skill development by catalyzing creation of large, quality, for-profit vocational institutions. NSDC provides funding to build scalable, for-profit vocational training initiatives. Its mandate is also to enable support systems such as quality assurance, information systems and train the trainer academies either directly or through partnerships. NSDC acts as a catalyst in skill development by providing funding to enterprises, companies and organisations that provide skill training.
